Photo wall and a bit of zhooshing

Getting to grips with a stack of framed photos today.

I wanted my wall to look a bit rough and ready.

I also wanted to be able to change the display easily, so I got Rich to nail up a picture rail.

I am pretty happy with the results.......

Our new painting has also finally been hung, and I think it looks HOT!

In other news......look what was waiting for me at nursery today.

Waddling my way into the third trimester.....

Spurred on by Hannah's amazing post over at Seeds & Stitches......

Thinking to myself 12 weeks and I get to meet my baby.
Thinking it's still 12 looooooooong weeks until I get to meet my baby, and can my body take much more of this???!!!

Obsessively looking at pregnant women carrying twins (like Rebecca at Girl's Gone Child Blog), and thinking - I am that size at 28 weeks too! Have the doctors made a mistake? Am I having twins? Did they get the dates wrong???!!!

Looking back at pics of me pregnant with Max and I go 'oh yeah, that's right, I get HUGE.'
Not sure why. We are both quite little people, Rich and I. Hobbit-like really. I think Max has the potential to be quite tall though, mmmm.......

32 weeks preggo with Max - Lycra is my friend!

Just had the last of my hospital appointments today, until the big day, the rest of my care is with my local GP. A much nicer place to go for sure.

I am starting to panic a bit about the actual birth. I had an emergency C-section with Max and I am all for having another (non emergency type of) C-section. But as far as I can tell they are going to make me try and do it the 'normal' way.

My worry is my scar which is already feeling very tender. When I laugh or sneeze - oowwwwwwww! It's sore! I am having to wear a support band to take the weight off it.
I guess I just need to fight my corner. If that is what I want then I need to get a bit stroppy about it. Will let you know how I go.

The baby's room is coming along really nicely though. Max has moved into the room down the hall. We had the unveiling and it seemed to go down well. Max appreciated the effort I put into the 'interior styling' - bless him! Rich put up the cot last night. I am starting to wash the mountain of tiny white clothes which have been in storage for the past 3 years. I can't believe how much stuff I bought for Max back then. I really don't need to buy a thing. (But it's hard not to!!!)

This morning I was looking for Max and found him back in his old room curled up in the baby's cot. Cute, but slightly disturbing (what if there was a baby in there!!!???)

Max is really getting the hang of the 'Big Brother' thing, and has already chosen the baby's name.

Apparently we are going to call him/her Jesus. ; )

P.S. Confessions of a terrible mother - I made Max climb under our car to get the car key which I dropped. It bounced and went right under the car and it was raining and I couldn't reach it with my bump and I made my three year old climb under our car to get it!! I feel much better getting that off my chest - thanks.

Sibella's latest

Excited to read that Sibella Court has another book coming out 31st October.

The concept behind 'NOMAD' is - how do you present your holiday finds in a way that is not cheesy or contrived?

Interesting.

Will be hopping over to Amazon to order that one.

Oh, also just read she has a range of hardware mercantile coming out soon at Anthropologie.

The girl is good.

Proud

Proud to be a Kiwi today!
I don't buy into the hype or obsession of the All Blacks, but I felt quietly chuffed by the win.
Imagine what would have happened if they hadn't won though, phew!

Sanity, just.

Today I am making pictures with Max. (Well he is squeezing out tubes of glue on the floor and trying to pinch everything I am making.)

Some of our creations.......

Awaiting delivery of this new painting.......

It's being driven up from Brighton as we speak! Weeeeee!
Excited!!!

Listening to Madeleine Peyroux, Lisa Ekdahl and Melody Gardot.

Trying not to move too much as my back is out, way out! Ouchies!

Liking these pics of dream bedrooms.......

Sleep

I am quietly obsessing about sleep right now.

My pregnancy is at the stage where sleeping on back or tummy is impossible and sleeping on my side is just painful.

Running after a rampant 3 year old is also taking it's toll.

The crazy preggy dreams are kicking in.......last nights classic......I am in a sinking boat and in the water all around are hippos & tigers.

WEIRD!

My heart sings!

I had the supreme pleasure of visiting the Fulham Palace Art Fair over the weekend.
I have always been of the opinion (and correct me if I am wrong!) that Fulham was devoid of anything artistic and fabulous, being primarily a suburb full of bankers and yummy mummies.

I know, I know! I shouldn't be so down on the place which has been my home for 5 years. But to be honest I have never felt 'at home' living in Fulham.

Now take me to Spitalfields or Shoreditch and I remember why London is a fab place to live.

Anyway, this rant is heading somewhere.....

The Fulham Palace Art Fair is an annual event held in the grounds of my local hang out!
So cool!
Fulham Palace is the BEST thing about Fulham. And the Art Fair is the BEST thing to happen to FP EVER.

Over 100 artists were showing work, but for me my heart was captured by one lovely lady, Charlotte Hardy.

Her work actually made me want to cry with it's beauty aaaahhhhhh so girly and gorgeous!
It caused an argument with hubby too. As he had the gall to say it was just 'okay'. (Men!!!)
They don't understand!

Charlotte herself was there, and you couldn't hope to meet a nicer person.

Here are a few of the pieces Charlotte was showing over the weekend.......

Yes, my heart sings!!!

Charlotte is having an open studio in Camberwell, 9th - 11th December. See her website for details.

So what do you think? Just 'okay' or super dooper fabbo???!!!!

A scorcher in Barnes

So hot today!
We decided to head to Barnes like 32,000 other Londoners.
It was nice though. The Farmers Market was in full swing.
The green looked so beautiful. Just so golden with leaves and light.
Max fed the ducks, his fav thing.
Happy days.
This Indian summer is meant to last until Wednesday.
Amazing!
