Looking back.....
2010.
What a year.
Ups & downs.
Looking back at photos of the last 12 months, I can't believe what we have managed to pack in. So I thought I would share with you all, the year that was!
December, the start of the big freeze. Max and me at Borough market.
The cemetery across the road from our flat, frozen but lovely......
Fast forward to January & February.
I am in New Zealand with Max. I have 6 weeks there with my family, then Richard joins us.
The highlight was Holly and Sam's wedding in central Otago.......
Early March, we head back to London via Hong Kong and spend a few days with friends.....
March. Happy to be back in London and settling into our new flat......
April. Max's table manners still haven't improved.....
And we are given tickets to the Polo at Hurlingham park.
May. Max starts at nursery 2 mornings a week. Separation anxiety on both sides!
June. Happy days. Summer is here. Max and I spend our days in our tiny garden.
July. High Summer. London summers are the BEST!
Max gets his first taste of candy floss.....
I get stuck into my sewing and set up an online web shop on Folksy....
August. We discover the joys of Barnes and make a visit to the Barnes farmers market our weekly treat.
We had a divine trip to Paris.....
Max had his first kiss in the city of love....
September. My little boy turns two!
October. The shadows are getting longer. Autumn is here.....
Max goes to his friend Judes party as a grumpy pirate....
November. Here we are again. Leaves on the ground. Weather cold and getting colder.
My hubs has his 39th birthday tomorrow!
In conclusion - Life is beautiful!

Swinging & snow.....
I seem to be in a blogging desert right now.
Maybe because I see a lot more beauty in summer and am finding it hard to be inspired.
Maybe because my life is a little bit ho hum just at the minute.
Maybe because it's an 'inbetweeny' time of the year.
Anyhoo, here are some pics of Max at the park.
(When in doubt employ a child model, the cuteness factor works everytime!)
I am really looking forward to Christmas. I am very excited as my parents arrive in 2 weeks. Once they are here we will be hitting the shops and the Christmas markets and will start planning what we are going to do for the 'big day'.
Can you believe we are ordering our turkey this weekend! Woah!
By the way, look what was in my garden today........
Early snowfall in Fulham???
Nah!
I've been defrosting my freezer!
See I told you, I have such an exciting life right now!

My beautiful sister
I was just thinking today how blessed I am to have such a fantastic family.
People who I actually LOVE spending time with. Who I desperately miss.
Who make me feel like I can do anything, cos they have got my back!
This is my sister Abby........
Isn't she gorgeous? (The one on the left, the one on the right just looks dodgy!)
We are 7 years apart, but I feel like we could be twins, apart from my wrinkles and 'old skin'.
I say that because we are so on the same wavelength. We think in the same crazy way and totally 'get' each other, it's really cool!
Abby is my hero for many reasons, here are just a few.......
1. She is an amazing nurse
2. She is the only one in our family to get a degree
3. She deep sea dives (and nearly died doing it.)
4. She is an amazing Aunty
5. She moved to Saudi Arabia and survived there alone for a whole year!
6. She sings and writes music
7. She wants to be a spy or a sniper or in the army!
8. She snowboards
9. She is always true to herself
10. She is loyal
It goes without saying she is the best sister a girl could hope for.
I can't wait to see her in March 2011!!!

Busy bees
Hi y'all!
I feel like I have been neglecting my blog of late. Life has just been getting in the way! Too busy, too stressed, too tired, blah! Actually, blogging is the only thing I feel like doing if I am tired, or stressed or moody - it always gives me a lift.
Thanks everyone for your lovely comments too. I know you all know what I mean when I say it really does make your day!
Does that make sense???
Anyhoo, I realised I haven't even posted these gorgeous photos taken last weekend in Barnes.......
It's heartening to see there are still a few leaves holding on for dear life! And isn't the light so pretty?
Max has been enjoying the Autumn so much. But it's a pain to go anywhere with him at the moment as we have to stop every couple of steps to pick up and study leaves - it can take us hours just to go to the corner store and back!
My weekdays have been quite quiet as hubs is working away during the week and is only back at weekends. I just have to share these pics of what he has been up to. He is fully renovating a gorgeous bungalow down in a little seaside village called Hamble. Look at this amazing bespoke walnut kitchen he is creating.....
He's still got a way to go on it, but it's looking good. The clients have gone for that classic white veiny marble for the worktops, can't wait to show you the finished product.
As for me, well I have been a busy bee too! Today I finished two strings of bunting for an order.
This one is personalized with 'Lily-Belle' - it looks so cute!
Also, I have made this noticeboard. The fabric is from Ikea, cool huh? And the ribbon is from VV Rouleaux......
So with all this busyness and activity, I am reeeeeeally looking forward to our Paris trip.
No Max in tow this time. Just a proper grown ups mini break! Woohoo!
Okay, well, I'd better go. I'm glad we had this chance to catch up.
